3-S Financial Management is a family partnership and our clients benefit from both an experienced old hand and fresh blood- the last thing you want is your adviser retiring at the same time you do.
Our clients have enjoyed continuity of service from the same small, family team for over 25 years. Over this time of turmoil and scandal we are proud to have guided our clients safely through stormy waters.
We exist to provide our clients with financial security and freedom. We find this often has more to do with good planning than available budget.
Owen Sekree FPFS
Founding Partner, Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society
Owen started his career as a graduate trainee in general commerce and held management positions that involved corporate financial planning and the evaluation of small businesses.
He later chose to go into financial services in order to have a more flexible working life and became a specialist in retirement planning for controlling directors and lump sum investment. In 1991 Owen set up his own consultancy, giving advice across a range of complex areas. He is proud to say that in all the intervening years nothing he has done has ever been held to be inappropriate advice or ‘mis-selling’. He is one of a small handful of people in the UK to have passed all the exams necessary to be a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.
Away from work Owen plays tennis obsessively, sails and tends his beautiful ‘Victoria 34’ sailing yacht and enjoys an excellent glass of red wine. After years of study he is delighted to no longer have to take study books on holiday with him.
Mark Sekree FPFS
Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society
After completing a joint honours degree in Economics & Philosophy at Sheffield University Mark elected to join the family business and soon became a highly able Financial Planner.
Following this he completed a two year secondment in financial services in Singapore, giving him a valuable insight into the Far East economies as well as the challenges and opportunities facing ex-pats.
Having returned to the UK he underwent further training to become a Chartered Financial Planner and was one of only a few people worldwide to attain his Fellowship of the Personal Finance Society under the age of 30. This is the highest level of achievement for Financial Planners.
Mark is a valuable member of the firm dealing with complex areas of financial planning.
When not working Mark is kept busy by his two young children, attempting to keep fit and exploring as much of the world as he can. He is increasingly interested in social equality and climate change, despite being a confirmed petrol-head.
